Jeff Ray is an Analyst with VALUE Incorporated, a premier firm specializing in the valuation of businesses, securities, and intellectual property. He advises clients through mergers and acquisitions, litigation, and financial reporting.
The scope of Mr. Ray’s work includes valuation analyses and consulting for mergers and acquisitions, including fairness opinions and purchase price allocations. Mr. Ray also provides valuation opinions for financial reporting, such as stock-option valuations, goodwill impairment studies, and transfer pricing analyses. Additionally, he provides valuations of business and partnership interests in matters relating to gift and estate taxes. Mr. Ray provides services to clients in a wide range of industries, including banking, energy, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, media, retail, wholesale, and various technologies.
Prior to joining VALUE Incorporated, Mr. Ray spent time as an intern for mezzanine lending firm Patriot Capital, as well as the treasury of Oncor Electric. Prior to entering graduate school, Mr. Ray was an assistant project manager for Henry & Sons Construction, a subsidiary of Schlitterbahn Waterparks, where he built Schlitterbahn Beach on South Padre Island, Texas. Prior to Henry & Sons, Mr. Ray was an operations manager at South Texas Woodmill, Inc.
Mr. Ray is a Level I CFA candidate, and holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. His concentrations include finance, strategy, and entrepreneurship. He received his baccalaureate degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University, where he shot trap and skeet competitively as a member of the Texas A&M Trap & Skeet Team. He is an instrument-rated pilot.
